Our Process

  • Meet with speech pathologist, parents, or support coordinator
  • Complete an informal assessment via questionnaire
  • Discuss potential in-depth assessments
  • Set primary goals and establish a plan
  • Decide on feedback format, review sessions, and outcome measurements
  • Determine any professionals (e.g., teachers, allied health, paediatricians etc..) to be updated
  • Engage with clinician for assessment or begin the first session
  • Assessments sometimes require up to two sessions, depending on the individual’s comfort and cognitive load. We aim for accurate results and may suggest an extra session if it benefits the client. This is tailored case by case and will be discussed with during the initial consultation
  • Focus on building rapport and understanding the client
  • Use either observational or quantitative assessment based on the initial consultation’s discussion
  • Work collaboratively on the goals set during the consultation and established during assessment
  • Measure progress and compare with starting point after 10 weeks
  • Parents, caregivers and other stakeholders will be provided with weekly emails containing progress
  • Meet with parents/caregivers or support coordinator
  • Discuss progress, any adjustments to plans/goals, and next plan moving forward
